We ended up here via water taxi because a storm cloud was raining from above and this would hopefully be a good place to take refuge for it to blow by. Since this was a touristy waterfront locale, we did not expect a whole lot.
I'm a big fan of fish and chips, and tend to try that at every British pub I go to. There's one in particular that is the best I've had in the states. So far I've yet to find anywhere that compares, but Briny Pub comes the closest. First off, the portion is huge. They served it with two pieces of deliciously fresh, fried fish over a plateful of chips. I ended up eating all of the fish and some of the chips just because there was too much. It's also served with coleslaw and a tasty tartar sauce. It was delectable. And of course they had fantastic beer that they served in pints.
One other important detail -- the price was like most pubs you'll find elsewhere and not super inflated like other restaurants on Los Olas Blvd. Our stomachs and wallets equally appreciated it, and it was one of the best pub stops we've been to. We will come back next time we're in town.
This was the kickoff location for a night that I'll never forget. Tucked away behind/beside a bridge near St. Andrews is this GEM in Broward.
Great beers on tap, friendly crowd and regulars that bring very cuddly friendly dogs to hang out while they drink...this place has it all. Note: the saturday afternoon/night I visited the crowd was noticeably older than most of the other Las Olas bars. Personally, I prefer a more mature (27+) crowd but if thats not your thing...you may want to start here and end somewhere else.
Want a life band? They've got that too! Its a beautiful day, want to enjoy the weather? They have a spacious outdoor seating area as well as a roomy indoor area for the Summer days in South FL where experience a 15 minute monsoon.
I am a huge fan of Briny Riverfront and its bartenders. I can get comfortable here and make THIS my regular go to.
Great lunch. The Reuben was fantastic! For 10$ comes with fries and slaw pickle. Same goes for BLT, only 7$. . Service was great! Beer was cold.
There was a pretty talented guy playing guitar and singing.
A great place to have lunch when getting off the WaterTaxi.
Good environment, cold beer and tasty food. The server was fast and courteous. I will definitely be back with more time.
Just had a very good seared tuna and cold beer. While listening to live music. Good food and great entertainment for a Sunday afternoon.
Had fun here for mid afternoon Mother Day's lunch. Really a cool nautical setting right on the New River. Get to watch everthing from kayaks to mega yachts go buy while enjoying live music and eating decent food. I had a griled red snapper sandwich which was delicious. No complaints from the 5 other diners. Scott Avery was playing acoustical guitar and was able to handle most requests. He is really talented. Seemed like a lot of regulars were there. Really nice place to spend a Sunday afternoon.
While on are way to doing something else we stumble upon Briny's. This was a cool little place so we decided to grab some drinks and just enjoy the fans a bit as it was hot in the sun. The bartend was great he answered questions about the area and served up some tasty drinks. We later decided to eat there and the key lime pie is out of this world. It was too hot to really eat anything substantial but it smelled good. If your close this is a must to go and check out!!

St Patty's Day Parade & Festival, beautiful day for live music & great food! Service was good considering it was very busy. Food was delicious. We ordered Grilled Mahi with veggies & french fries & Fried beer battered fish & chips with Guinness Beer. Very satisfied with both the service & food. Would definitely go back! :-)
We went to Briny's for St. Patty's day corned beef and cabbage and we were very pleased. Nothing fancy except large portions of good old fashioned corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots, they way it supposed to be! They served the red New York style flat corned beef brisket and although traditional is gray corned (like in Boston where I'm from), I prefer the red. Even though it was crowded, we got a seat right away and was served quickly. Wait staff was attentive and very friendly. Parking was scarce (it was a holiday after all...). The bathrooms need help
After our Riverfront Cruise with a senior tour, we decided to stop here for a quick dinner. I had the Reuben sandwich and my husband had the NY steak sandwich. Both were good and plentiful. Our total was $34.34 with tax, Coke and one glass of Chardonnay. Not bad. The atmosphere in the restaurant was tropical in design with all kinds of funky decorations hanging from the ceiling. Very picturesque. We all had a good time here. Jose was our server and he did a great job keeping up with all the orders and made sure we had everything we needed.A good menu selection. Will come back whenever we are in the area.
